FAQ

Question : What should be my riding experience?

Answer : People renting a Unicorn Adventures Ltd bike: for insurance reasons we can only accept members with more than 2 years of riding experience and with more than 25 years of age. For members coming with their own bike you have to be more than 25 years old. Our guides will organise each group for every one to enjoy the ride to the max...

Question : How many kilometres will be ridden per day?

Answer : The average distance ridden during a day is around 200km. This leaves time for breaks and visits or scenery watching as well as time at the end of the day to enjoy the overnight towns.

Question : What happens if there is a mechanical failure or accident?

Answer :

  • Unicorn Adventures Ltd has a truck joining every tour with tools to fix problems. For serious failures we are never very far away from a garage. For Unicorn Adventures Ltd motorcycles, our insurance will ensure the bike gets home and we will do our best to get you an equivalent model to finish the tour.
  • In case of accident, your personal insurance (see Terms and conditions) should cover you and third parties. Unicorn Adventures Ltd motorcycles are fully insured. You should do the same if you join with your own bike.

Question : How will I know how to use the bike I rent?

Answer : Before the start of each tour your guide will explain how the motorcycle is working and how it will handle.

Question : Do I need to ride all the time with the group?

Answer : As every one has her/his personal riding style and rhythm it is of course possible to ride alone. For those riding a Unicorn Adventures Ltd bike kilometres ridden in excess (compared to the tour guide ridden distance) will be charged at the end of the tour (contact us).

Question : Is my bike safe during the night?

Answer : Your bike will be parked with ours either in the hotel parking or garage. We require from all the overnight places that the bikes are safe and protected.

Question : Can I ride someone else's bike during the tour?

Answer : If you want to try, why not, if the owner agrees to. For Unicorn Adventures Ltd rented bikes it is possible to switch if your tour guide agrees.

Question : I want to join with my personal bike, is that possible?

Answer : Definitely, as you can see our prices and tours do include that option. Question : What kind of fuel can be found on the tours? Answer : The European countries the rides take place in do all offer the usual fuel types (leaded, unleaded etc..).

Question : Riding is fine but what other activities will be possible?

Answer : Our tours have been designed in order to take you to places where you can enjoy many other activities (from sun bathing to skydiving, monuments exploration etc ) ask your Unicorn Adventures Ltd tour guide for more information, you can also have a look at our "Links" section on our Web site.

Question : What kind of motorcycle is recommended for Unicorn Adventures Ltd tours?

Answer : All the bikes we do rent match the tours, but for the tours with a lot of twisty mountain roads the GS or RT are the best, due to their handling qualities.

Question : Should I get special work tools?

Answer : Our guides and truck drivers have tools with them which do the job in most cases. For the members joining with their own bikes we suggest that you take with you the specific tools your bike requests, especially chain grease. We do also strongly advice to have a flat tire fixing kit with you.
