1: The tour begins in Saint-Raphaël riding up
along the coast towards Cannes and Monaco. The border
with Italy will be crossed in Menton from where
the tour will take a safe ride on the highway to
Parma. Arriving early enough in Parma will give
you time for a walk in the old town enjoying the
monuments and, why not, an ice-cream.
Day
2: After a good rest and having spent some time
to find room for the Parma Ham and cheese in the
luggage, the tour leaves the Emilia Romagna area
for the Venezia one. Riding the Italian roads towards
the Adriatic coast you will enjoy the typical villages
while the road gets straighter closer to the coast,
towards Lignano Sabbiadoro for a night of rest in
Italy, with a view on the Croatia coast

3: The last kilometers in Italy and here comes
Slovenia which will be behind in just a few minutes
of ride. The Croatian part of the tour starts with
Istria and the coast villages of Porec, Rovinj and
Pula. Istria and its roman monuments always reminds
you that Rome is not that far away and that Roman
emperors enjoyed Croatia. At the east site of Istria
stands Opatija, well known in the past for its "French
Riviera" style and Austrian rich people.

4: The only day spent far away from the coast.
Leaving Opatija, the tour climbs east inland to
reach the Plitvick lakes. 16 breathtaking lakes
all connected to each other, cascades and clear
water will help you relax. Having taken a good walk,
it is now time to ride down, back to the coast,
and the town of Zadar.

5 : A long day of ride. All the coast down from
Zadar to Dubrovnik, along the coast. On the way
the tour will enjoy the town of Split as well as
the amazing scenery the many islands offer. Brac,
Hvarn, Korkula, Peljesac will always be on your
right while you get closer to the Bosnia border
and cross it for a short ride before getting back
to Croatia and arrive in Dubrovnik.

6 : This day is a well deserved rest day to
enjoy Dubrovnik and the many beautiful monuments
and streets it offers. After all the fighting and
destruction the city experienced no so long ago,
it is now a well preserved and rebuilt historical
town with a lot of "cachet".
Tag
7 : Good-Bye Dubrovnik, time to ride back north
and catch a ferry in Split. But before as time permits
a ride on Peljesac and the Korkula island is a must.
In Split the ferry will await us for a night crossing
to Italy.

8 : Italy stands in front of the boat at the
post of Ancona. To save time and energy the tour
gets on the highway to Imola, where it jumps back
on tiny roads to get to Maranello. If this is a
name which rings a bell it is quite normal as this
is where Ferrari stands! Time for a stop and a visit
of the Galleria Ferrari! And if you are lucky some
nice cars should be driving on the test track. Time
to get back on the bikes and reach the Mediterranean
coast in Lerici, by the Golfo Dei Poeti.
Tag
9 : A short ride to Cuneo on the highway and
it is time to have some more fun climbing to the
Lombarda pass and the French ski resort of Isola.
More curves follow before the tour reaches Grasse
and finally Saint-Raphaël.
