The
Camargue tour will take us through a wonderful region
in the South of France, on the Mediterranean coast,
a UNESCO world-wide heritage site. The Camargue is
made of wetlands, pastures, dunes and salt flats,
in which a unique collection of plant life flourishes,
including tamarisk and narcissi, and birds such as
egrets, pink flamingos and ibises.
The
pastures provide gazing for sheep, and small white
horses, ridden by the "gardians" (cow-boys), who take
care of the black bulls. That tour will give you the
opportunity to see horses, bulls, and flamingos in
their natural habitat. A nature side-tour will also
take you through wonderful sceneries on the coast
as well as inland, visiting the beautiful villages
of Les Saintes Maries de la Mer, Les Baux de Provence,
and Avignon, as well as the Verdon canyon and Grasse.
